Day Thirty-six

D.I.Y Christmas Path Lighting

 
Fill a round balloon with water and set outside until almost frozen through. Run hot water over frozen globe until balloon pops off. Pour out unfrozen water from inside and insert a plastic tealight. Makes a great walkway accent.

Day Twenty-three


Mini Pompoms

 

 
What you need:
 
  • Small amount of yarn
  • a large fork
  • Scissors
 
 
What you do:
 
  1. Wrap yarn around fork several times.
  2. Tie small piece of yarn around center between tines of the fork.
  3. Carefully cut up outsides of fork and remove your pompom.

6-Pack Condiment Tray

 
 
What you need:
 
  • Empty 6-pack
  • Plastic forks, knives, and spoons
  • Paper napkins
  • Salt and pepper shakers
  • Ketchup, mustard bottles
  • And a picnic
 
What you do:
 
  1. Make sure your 6-pack is tear free and in good condition.
  2. Place plastic utensils, napkins, shakers, and bottles in the 6-pack as shown in the picture above. Viola, you are now ready for a picnic any time.

Day Twenty

I must apologise for my lack of d.i.y ideas for yesterday. I have been rather ill as of late with a cold and flu bug so, please forgive. This is part one of two.

 
 
I really don't know how to do this one, but it looks rather easy to do.

Day Eighteen






Easy Kitchen Stool

What you need:


  •   Old stool seat
  •    3 bottoms from crutches
  •    Bicycle rim the same size as seat
  •    3 sets of Clamps * image below


 What you do:

  1. Turn seat over and attach the crutch legs evenly spaced, using the clamps.
  2. Using the bicycle rim support the legs of your stool.

Day Fourteen


Storage Containers


What you need:

  • old packing boxes with "flip" style lids and nails
  • empty 6 pack egg cartons

What you do:

  1. Nail boxes to wall, fill them with books or whatever you want
  2. Make sure egg cartons have nothing in them and fill egg cups and top with paper clips and elastic bands or tacks.

Day Thirteen


 

Herbed Olive Oil Portions

 

What you need:


  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Various Herbs (Rosemary, Thyme, Oregano.... your favorites)
  • Ice cube trays

What you'll do:

  1. Pull whole leaves off stems, careful not to tear the leaves.
  2. Place herbs as desired for cooking use, as desired. Combining or not as needed. Fill with oil.
  3. Place in freezer, allow to freeze. Remove from ice cube trays, put into air tight freezer container or freezer bag.
  4. Enjoy cooking with your own fresh herbed olive oil in perfect portions for use when sautéing and frying foods.
